The Newest Daytime Drama
The other shoe finally dropped on the soap opera that is “The View.” Searches on embattled now-former hostess Star Jones Reynolds shot skyward after she announced her exit from the show on-air and unplanned. The claws of the catty curious came out and searched for “star jones fired” and “star jones leaves the view.”
Grande dame Barbara Walters bit back with news that Star could no longer shine on “The View” because of a loss of “viewer trust” in the outspoken daytime diva. Could Ms. Walters be referring to the folks searching on “star jones weight loss,” “star jones divorce,” and “al reynolds“?
Collateral searches sprayed far and wide with spikes on Rosie O’Donnell, “star jones video,” and “sandra bernhard the view.” Rumors about Star’s replacement swirled around the loquacious and often lascivious Bernhard, but it’ll be interesting to see who’s sitting around the table when “The View” reconvenes this fall.
