Gawking at Buzz

Two weeks ago, Gawker Media head Nick Denton made headlines with his proclamations about the state of blogging and his announcement that two Gawker-owned sites would be shuttered. Since then, there’s been plenty of online buzz about his comments and whether or not he’s right. Denton believes that you need to fold slumping sites sooner, rather than later.

In terms of buzz, the Gawker founder culled two of his lower-ranked properties from his holdings. Not bad aim at all. He must know what he’s doing…
