Locating Unclaimed Buzz

We love to get our grubby paws on a variety of things, whether they’re prizes, goodies, or money. It baffles us how so much good stuff is out there remaining unclaimed. Often when a state or federal agency announces a new website to help the forgetful masses grab unclaimed riches, searches soar correspondingly. But today we’re simply faced with a 556% spike in the word “unclaimed.” We’re not sure what caused it — could it be the unclaimed $10K Powerball ticket bought in Billings, the $40M in unclaimed assets sitting around in Colorado, or the mountain of unclaimed luggage being sold off in Alabama? We’re not sure how to lay claim to this surge in searches on the word “unclaimed,” but it did pique our interest. We did some digging and found the top 20 unclaimed searches. What do we ask in return? Just half the bounty for our part in pointing the way…
